This program is just to air my views and experience of my 2 year compulsory military service in the SAWA. I chose the name of the blog in Afrikaans because it was the official language at the time in the SAWA.

A lot of books are published at the moment about the military and the negative side of it. It seems that the books are based on real time interviews with some of the soldiers. Not to sure how the writers decided whose stories to published and how they decided on these guy’s.

I therefore decided to start my blog on this topic so that more South Africans can read about the other stories during this “border war”
